Challenge:
Transform a fictional product, originally created as a visual for a holiday event hosted by the rap group "The Roots," into a tangible and marketable item.
Approach & Contribution:
Initially I was task with designing the invite for the annual holiday event 4th year in a row, this year I featured a fictional Roots Christmas Sweater. Later, tasked with bringing this design to life as an actual product. Collaborated on the development and production of the sweater, which garnered recognition from Time Magazine, was worn by Jimmy Fallon on SNL's Christmas Special, and even became a question on Jeopardy.
Outcome:
Successfully bridged the gap between concept and reality, turning a fictional holiday sweater into a real-world sensation. This project showcased the power of creative design and its potential to transcend traditional boundaries, gaining widespread recognition and popularity.
