Challenge:
Design a compelling intro sequence, animations, and motion graphic maps that shed light on the Los Angeles uprisings, intricacies of redlining, and the progression of the riots, while seamlessly integrating art and archival materials.
Approach & Contribution:
Crafted a motion graphics-rich intro sequence by synergizing art and archival elements. Collaborated with illustrators to produce meaningful animations that captured the documentary's essence. Additionally, created detailed motion graphic maps to visually represent redlining practices and the riot's spread.
Outcome:
The documentary, amplified by the crafted visuals, was lauded for its in-depth portrayal of the LA uprisings and the societal issues it tackled. My work underscored the importance of cohesive visual storytelling in conveying profound narratives and complex themes.
